Driving

You'll be nervous, you prolly wont do much driving first lesson, he/she will be teaching you basic control (Clutch etc) but enjoy it, its an exciting time :D

Yup, what he said.

My first lesson was sitting the car, learning where everything was and just getting it moving...I'd had literally no previous experience...passed 6 months later first time, so all was good. :D

My lessons were like £10ph though. :D

It seems anything around £20 per lesson is average now, just make sure to remember how fast 20 mph seems at first so that 6 months later you can chuckle to yourself ;)

I've had a couple of hours at a disused airfield near Weatherby, think it's called Tockworth.

Done roundabouts, cones and had a quick go at parallel parking. Was in a nasty car though, some form of Proton.

Should be a giggle. :)

As said, enjoy :D

And think of the day when that licence becomes a pink one ;)

I hate that, the learners get a nice green one...then you pass and get a pink one...someone must have been having a laugh when they did that!

When I learnt (back in 2004) most places were charging up to and around £20, but my instructor wasn't...but he was a strange bloke.

As for speed, I remember when I was learning, going 'slowly' seemed absolutely fine, but by the time I'd gotten to being able to pass the test I didn't like low speeds. :)

Driving is great fun, and so is learning, enjoy. :)

I miss my paper licence :(

Good luck with the lesson matey - just remember to have fun and not to get too stressed about it. :)

My first lesson, with no experience, (other than about 1 hour before learning in a completely different car on a private road!) my instructor took me on a bypass at 70, i was cacking my self :p Passed 5 months later with 3 minors, was well chuffed! I had to pay £21ph though
