Drone for a 6 year old

It seems you might have to look into the licensing situation depending on the type and weight of the drone.

It might be an idea to join a model aircraft club. They fly replica planes and helicopters.

Why are people talking about flying regulations and licensing for god sake? Its a 6 year old, get him a toy drone from Smyths anywhere from £15-40 there's loads of them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mentioning it TBH - the OP may not know anything about the regulations in place, and knowing what is required for anything more than a toy may influence his decision.

Deffo get something classed as a toy. As if it's isn't the OP would be legally responsible and could therefore end up with big fines or even jail. Worth knowing about, right?
