Been using drop box for a while now and a odd thing appears to be happening tonight i have never noticed before..

The bubble bottom left of my screen keeps popping up and saying .mov file added and other stuff.. ? when i check the drop box folder a new file is being populated with something some training info from god knows where.. file name VTC (virtual training company)

Thing is i dont have it and it keeps trying to sync up even when i delete it?

There are some other users on the account but non have accsess to the root like me (admin). When check the log its shows as added by me and accessed by me?!

Done full deep scan with AVG but nothing... odd?:p

I had this a couple of months ago, slightly different scenario. Someone had either guessed my client ID or their client ID had become corrupted. All of a sudden the drop box desktop client started downloading files which were not mine / uploading mine to their client.

As it turned out it is a flaw in drop box security; basically if you had a "valid" client ID for any account for the desktop app then you did not need the username / password combo. :) Security in the cloud eh? ;)

I uninstalled the desktop app, deleted all the client ID's from my account and then reinstalled with a fresh client ID. Then a week later same thing happened; stopped using drop box.

Could be something similar perhaps? May not be on your computer but drop box at fault itself.

could well be! im on a pro paid for account and we use this a lot..

These guys need to sort it, i have raised a ticket with them..

Will update accordingly.. :)

Thanks
