Downloaded the Dropbox software onto my main PC and have synced all my photos onto Dropbox.

I now want to view these photos on another PC and am getting a bit confused.
I thought if I installed the software on this computer also and signed in it would allow me to view the files.
However it is trying to sync the files back down to this computer too. If I remove folder sync, then it removes the folder view too and the list of files with it.

Should I just be able to view a list of the files and just open the ones I want?
Should I use the website instead just for viewing instead?

Seems a silly issue so I am sure I am just doing something wrong.

Dropbox will sync across all computers with your client installed. If you just want a "one-time-view" then use the website.

dropbox is syncing files to every computer with dropbox installed, it will download every single file, if u want to just view files and as u said and only see the files you are interested in, then use the website

Thanks for the clarifications guys :)
Hadn't used it before so thought you could list files in the Dropbox folder without syncing the actual content.
Website will do for now anyway. There is 26Gb of data so don't fancy syncing that lot again. Lol

There is an option in Dropbox to use your local network as well.

If it's just for photos, why not use Flickr or Picasa? I've got 21GB of storage on the latter for $5 a year (and it's only $20 for 80GB). Both a backup and a nice way of sharing and viewing images.
