I've had the chance to drive around the bosses DB9 and man it is such a sense of occasion being in that thing let alone driving it. Truly unbelievable and the noise is superb! There really isn't much point to this thread other than to share my enjoyment, I can't stop thinking about it and what's even more exciting is that work have arranged for me to do an Aston Martin track day experience!

That is all and here is some DBS porn!

My girlfriend has the major hots for DB9's at the moment, every time I see her she's driven past one or seen one she wants. I've been told that "When I'm a millionaire" I've gotta buy her one....pfft.

I had the joy of sitting in one of these a couple weeks ago, when my mate went for a test drive. I second your point about there being such a sense of occasion, it really is an astonishing astonishing thing.

Took one from Gaydon to Dover last year and enjoyed every minute of it.Infact i enjoyed it so much i did a lap of honour around the M25:D

The DB9 is such a beautiful car.

I saw an Audo R8 for the first time yesterday though, and now I have mixed feelings on which I would go for if I had £100k to drop into a car.

A friend of mine replaced his ageing DB7 Volante with a DB9 Volante a few months ago. Although I've not been for a drive in yet, I located the car for him at a local dealers (Bramleys in Guildford)it's a gorgeous grey (aren't they all?) 04 plate with only 500 miles on the clock! Apparently the original owner bought it with his retirement fund, then rapidly came to his senses and sold..with only 500 miles under it's belt! Bonkers.
Annoyingly they don't appear to have it on their 'sold' list, but found another oddity that was there at the time. This BMW 745i was fully loaded on an '03 plate, immaculate condition selling for (iirc) £30k. Nothing unusual except it has 300 miles on the clock! Odd that for 4 years, this lovely executive cruiser was just sitting around being serviced but never driven.

Take a look around the site, they've got some great cars for sale.

An 04 plate?

A guy here went onto the waiting list almost as soon as they were announced and got his delivered on a 55 plate. Are you sure it was a DB9 he got?

I see one everyday where I park at work, sadly the owner is from another company so I can't beg for a drive in it. :o

But I can never get tired of seeing it, and the noise when he floors it uhhhhhhhhh lovely. :D

I want one. :(

Absolutely 100%. If you check the Aston Martin Approved used cars site theres plenty of '04 plates. I guess he just got one of the first ones available.
*edit* Actually, looking into this further, the Volante was introduced a bit later, the oldest I can find are on an '05 plate, so maybe thats what reg he's got..hmm, I'll have to check now!
*further edit*
Apologies, this is his (55 plate): DB9..Dunno where I got the '04 plate in my mind from..hmm. :)

Yeah, me and my missus watched Casino Royale the other night, she has qute disturbing feelings towards that car.

When we first watched the film she nearly crushed my hand when they rolled the Aston...and she's only a small lass.

They are nice cars, I love being overtaken by them VROOOM :D

I'm lucky that I live in a very expensive part of London where Aston Martins and Ferarri's are very common. I almost crash my car everytime I drive past them.

Your boss? You told us you had your own businesses becuase you enjoyed working for yourself more than other people? What happened?
