Drunks doing stupid things.

I don't hate drunk people. I hate drunk people who are obnoxious, irrational, disrespectful, aggressive and generally poor excuses for human beings.

similar idiot phoned my restaurant tonight for a delivery

the driver gets to his door, and he says i havent ordered anything

so the driver phones me explains that hes at the address given and that the persona says they havent ordered, so i say hold on ill phone them

i check their phone number they have only given us 10 digits, luckily our phones have caller display, so i phone the phone they phoned from

i say hi, have you ordered a delivery from my restaurant??

he says no

i then say have you phoned my restaurant??

he says no

then i say how come i have your number in my phone, a call has been made from this mobile and placed an order at my restaurant it has got to the address and the person there says they havent ordered it

he then says oh yeah somebody else used my phone but they are no longer here

so some idiot has placed an order supposedly if it isnt the **** on the other end of the phone, then left, i just hung up on the guy its obvious he was drunk

another time somebody phoned after we had closed, 12.15pm, rather than let the phone ring, i picked up and said hi, they wanted a delivery

so i say sorry deliveries finished 45 minutes ago and all the staff and the driver has left

he then says thats ******* brilliant. what the **** am i supposed to do now you ********???

i told him he could come chomp on my big kebab for all i care

he then says i think you should apologise

i laughed at him told him to **** off and hung up

oh yeah another time, some idiot decided to throw rice everywhere, told me to come over and said why dont you get a brush and clean up this mess ive made for you

i told him, why dont you get down on your knees and suck me off

he then told me he would be back with his boys and left

i could go on forever i have had many idiots come in or phone

Yeah you get them mate, best to ignore them though

I was in a kebab shop when something similar happened. He ordered a kebab, ate a bit then kicked off saying it was poo

Walked out (still eating his food though ) then turned round and threw his stuff back into the shop

The owner called him an idiot, so the drunk thinking he was a hard man went to run back in, slipped on a chip and ended up knocking himself out when his head hit the floor.

Some people had to pile him in a taxi still out cold with one of his mates

Plenty of lol'age followed

Brilliant.

I never answer the phone after closing, i figure i am going to tell them it's closed anyway, what difference does it make that I am not going to answer. If i answer then they expect me to do their order. I started off at the beginning telling them it's closed, 1/4 says ok politely, the other 3 gets abusive. I usually say "yeah, that'll make us want to cook for you with language like that" and hang up.

well it could be family or a friend or maybe even staff calling??

like i say i hardly ever pick up after closing but i decided to that time and thats what he said

we close at midnight and going back 2-3 years we used to have lock ins, where me and some of the staff would sit and drink til whenever really, usually for an hour or 2 but sometimes till like 6 in the morning on rare occasions, its amazing how many people would phone even though we had shut several hours before

everybody who orders food after say 10pm is usually drunk, why else would they be eating their dinner so late at night, thats why we stopped doing deliveries up until half 11 and have now cut it back to 11, it stops a lot of problems with drunk customers

oh yeah the best one is

i have these 2 regular drunks who come in, absolutely steaming, once they were so drunk they thought they had already paid for the meal before they ate, but i told them no, you pay the bill after you eat and are ready to leave, or else how would we know everyones bar bill before they ordered all the drinks they were gonna have with their meal and after it, etc

but once they were so drunk they orginally ordered a carryout but decided to sit in, so they paid for the carryout before the order went into the kitchen, then asked for the bill when they ate inside, so they paid twice

also when drunks forget about their change, or when they gave you 20 instead of 10, thats always good too

makes up for the rest of the idiots

Nope, the staff are all there, family rings on the mobile. Only customers ring the shop.

yeah but some people dont stop ringing, i mean like even after 20 bells, and your forced to answer to stop the ringing, it also depends on how far away i am from the phone, if im in the bar, ill answer for definite, if im in the hall or kitchen, i aint gonna bother, we have digital cordless phones and sometimes carry them about or take them to the staff table with us, so we dont need to get up to answer it

A few bad apples spoil the barrel.

Shame it's a little bit more than a few.

Of course those who are responsible drinkers will choose to ignore it, claim it's a minority and defend their right to lose all sense and dignity through alcohol.

But hey, that's the sensible 'majority' for you.

Had one the other week, I picked it up and then hand up straight away, and then put the phone on the hook. Else I'll turn the ringer off, it'll ring on their end but it won't make a noise on this end.

sounds a bit off, their honest enough to ask for a bill, and you charge them twice :/

I was just going to start a thread but might as well join this.

I'm lucky to play in a rock covers band that as an excellent following.
Tonight we filled a pub in the OCUK area and right from the start a bloke was giving us silent heckling.
The thing is that nobody could see him and he even came down the front several times and sat right in front of us so his face was out of view of everybody and just started to mouth silent obscenities at us.
Same thing happened in the 2nd set and after we'd played our last song and everybody is screaming for an encore he waits for a silence and shouts 'No talent'.
Its at this point I decide to belittle him.
I shouted "Excuse me, I'd like to know why from the very start of the night you have shouted silent obscenities at us and given us childish fingers that a 4 year old would do. I'd like to know why you've kept coming down the front out of everybody's view and mouthing obscenities at us?"
He shouts "Cause you're ******* ****".
I said "That might be the case but why have you decided to hang round in a pub full of our fans instead of going to another pub where you don't have to listen to our crap?"
He then walks towards me and is immediately surrounded by at least 50 blokes who start having a go at him and he suddenly realises he's in trouble.
I said "You've really picked the wrong band to have a go at because when you insult us you insult 50 Bikers but I give you my word that if you turn round and walk out you will not be harmed"
He walked out and I made sure nobody went after him.
He totally ruined my night but to be honest thats the first time I've had an idiot for at least 15 years.

these 2 guys dont work, they claim off the social, and spend 12 hours a day in the pub across the road, when they come in, they fall over all the time, they cant stand up, they are that drunk, this isnt one off either, i have never seen them sober, ive never seen them being able to walk in a straight line

also it wasnt me who took their money the second time,

the original order was food only - and to be carried out

sitting in is more expensive, also drinks on top

instead of my staff charging them the extra few quid for sitting in, they were whacked the full amount, i was busy doing paperwork, so i never realised till the bill had already came in, plus im helping them out, the less they have to spend on booze, the better off their health will be
