Hey guys,

I'm thinking about taking my custom loop out, but I want to store it so i can come back to it down the line if I wanted.
Now after i drain the system and dismantle it, what's the best course of action to clean and dry it?

Is it OK to get all the drips out and leave them to dry in the sun, (leave dried coolant inside)
Or do I have to go through the rigmarole of putting distilled water through it and what not before I can dry?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Just drain it. Wash the stuff under a tap, rinse etc... excluding pump of course :P then leave to drip dry. Then store away in a dry place away from sun light.

You could fashion a blower out of a fan, ducting, funnel and tube and blow air through to speed up drying. So, flush with distilled/deionised, blow dry, then tape over the ends with masking tape to seal it. Nothing will get in. Could to the whole loop at once or one section at a time. From experience radiators take ages to dry out internally if left by themselves, better to try and speed things up a bit.
