I'm sick and tired of my girlfriend stealing my DS so my plan is to get her one of her own for Christmas.

However, I'm having a bit of problem deciding what colour to get. My understand is that there's 4 colours available - white, black, pink and silver. I've already got a white one, so that's out of the question. I think she'd also find a pink one patronising.

So that leaves black or silver. Does anyone have a silver one? Does it look cheap and nasty?
 
Are we going to see the Crimson + Black one? I'm in the same boat except it's my mother who's nicking mine! If I get a Crimson + Black one, she can have my old DS Lite.
 
Buy all the colours :)

Why it's what Nintendo wants you to do! and the whole reason they bloody drip-feed the public new colours, haha.

I'd go for the black personally, gives it that nice retro look when electronics were only available in black back in the 90's, hehe Silver is sooo 2001 :p
 
Go for black. I've got a black DS, and my boyfriend has a white one, in my opinion, the black looks a lot better.
 
be warned with the black console although it looks nicer than white sitting there, fingerprints spread on it something chronic!
 
Go up to her and say "black or silver?" then when she answers just walk off. If she asks any questions tell her "silence!"

My boyfriends white console gets more marks on it than my black one. You just need to take care of them properly ;).
 
Ive just looked at the crimson red and black ds that some people are thinking of getting, and no offence, but I think it looks cheap and tacky :eek:

Me brother had a white one and looks nice and space-agey and gives it that "i-pod" feel to it. I bet it looks pretty slick in black though :)
 
I just bought the wifie a Black one for Crimbo... But I've also bought one of those 'Skin' things for it... its a great way to personalise one (or both) if you have one each!!...

Did get a bit of a kick in the nuts yesterday!... We saw an advert for a 'Pink' one... I said "Yuk Thats awful!!" when the wife said "I prefer that to the Black one!! :(...

So I bought the Skin today as the wife did seem to like a Black/Red edition she saw on't Bay from Hong Kong... The Skin gives the same sort of look for £30 less... Hope she likes it!.. :(

If I was you mate, Id swap it for the pink one right away to avoid your missus crying uncontrolably with disapointment of a wrong ds colour on xmas day.
 
I see 'Ice Blue' ones on auction, are these officially going to be released in the UK or are they import only? If import, are they pal etc?

I don't think the PAL argument comes into a DS - AFAIK all handhelds are region free.
