So whats the DS or DS lite screen like for scratches? trying to decide now whether i should buy some screen protectors for it, ill be getting some martin fields if i do (got some for my phone and they are great :D)

ill probs wont need them if the screens dont scratch easily since i dont really intend on taking me ds around with me. does the stylus have any chance of scratching the screen at all?

I'd say its impossible for a DS stylus to actually "scratch" a screen unless you're some kind of ham fisted ape man.

What I will say though is that screens will get "scuffed" over time with normal wear and tear. And most scuffs will only show up when angled to the light correctly.

Not too big a problem.

the screen on the lite actually feels a lot more solid than the older model i've found. As above though.. in order to scratch the screen with a rounded piece of plastic you have to be incredibly special.

I have a screen protector on the top screen but not on the touch screen as I noticed it affects the sensitivity abit.

I dont think screen protectors is a must for the DS/L as the only time the screen is exposed is during gameplay unlike the PSP.

My launch DS has zero scratches and It's been abused with wario ware, metroid and trauma centre a lot. Just give the screen a 2 second wipe with a glasses cloth before using it and you will never ever get scratches.

Edit: No scuffs either.

I always get protectors but they annoy me so I end up removing them. I might consider one for the top of my DSL (when I get one) though because Animal Crossing barely uses the top screen
