DS games for a Parent

I'm going to take a gamble and get my mum a DS for Christmas.

I need some recommendations for games to go with it, they have to be really, really easy to play..

is the Nintendogs game any good ?

also looking for some puzzle games (simple ones)

My parents love this game. my step dad is constantly bragging about his brain age :rolleyes:
