DS Lite replacement battery question

I'd be interested to know people's opinions as well cos I'm after a spare battery for my DS. Got a long0haul flight to Jamaica in a couple of weeks and need the extra battery life.

Turn the brightness down and use the headphones and it will easily make that trip even if you played it without stopping.

Also you would need a small screwdriver to change the battery and they wont let you on the flight with it.

Can always unscrew it before hand and make do for the flight with blu-tack/tape.

If you have a laptop you can get a usb cable to charge the DS. If not you can buy a portable USB battery which is good for charging stuff like mobile phones and PDAs. Again use a USB to DS cable and you're good to go :)

Just get yourself a Powermonkey ( http://www.powermonkey.co.uk/ ) and a tip for the DS-lite (or a DS-lite USB charging cable). Fantastic little portable rechargable battery pack which will also charge up your mobile phone, ipod etc. I've not had mine long so don't know how long it would keep a DS going, however it apparently powers an ipod for 40 hours, and a PSP for 6 hours.

I cant remember the last time i charged my DS, just turn the brightness down and the volume, mine must last 20 hours at least

I only use my DS on Wi-Fi, full brightness and I don't have any headphones for it, but have it on 0 volume and it only lasts 2 nights of Worms Open Warfare 2.

bought a 2000mAh from eBay in the end, Glasgow seller. It seems to last slightly longer but I've a feeling I need to recharge it for a few cycles before it develops its capacity (could be wrong?)
