DS Web Browser

there's an article on IGN about this, and in Japan they're releasing a TV card with a built-in tuner that received specific TV broadcasts.

i really want some official PDA software to come out. i'd use that a lot i think.

Using the stylus and handwriting-recognition software, DS owners can input text by writing, rather than use a simulated keypad like the PlayStation Portable does.

I do like the sound of that ^^ Nice and easy :)

Another person here looking forward to it.

Could be good I guess, not ENTIRELY convinced its going to be particularly useful though.

what's it useful for on the PSP, aside from when you're sat in McDonalds bored, and want to check your email, or read the news...or you're at the airport and can't be bothered to get your laptop out. there's a fair few reasons i'd use it.

Sounds like a good idea, also in agreement with you Sic. I'd love some sort of PDA software, not sure how often I'd use it though. Would still be cool :)

the top screen will show a view that can be customly zoomed (or 100%, i cant remember offhand). holding the L or R shoulder button depending on your dexterity and dragging the touchscreen with the stylus will move the view of the page in the top screen.

that was my main concern L-P, but they seem to have covered that base quite well :)

websites will have to be down scaled a lot though surely?

Opera are already very experienced in making browsers for small/limited screens (opera is my browser of choice for my P910i mobile phone, there's also opera mini etc available)

They will come up with a good way to make everything look good on the DS, and I can't wait :)

i dont think nintendo have set a release date outside japan. But you can always import it, some sites already have it up for pre-order. around £30

Surely it'll have a Japanese charset/handwriting recognition?
