Hi guys, got a ds3 and a e6300 as above, and am currently trying to overclock. So far ive got to about 280*7 (1.96 ghz) before i develop problems.

I have the f6 bios, and am using stock volts. Prime 95 keeps getting rounding errors on the first test (rounding error 0.5, expecting 0.4 or less???), posts and boots fine, windows loads fine too.

Is there something ive missed or am doing wrong?

Got the memory multiplier at 2.5 i think. Corsair xms2 pc 6400 cas 4 im using. so atm its underclocked, tried it at multiplier 2 too.

Thanks in advance

Benny.

ive had the v.core upto 1.42 i think n still no luck, tried upping the chipset too n again still no luck, my rams on 2.1 as its xms2 n thats what it needs... any other suggestions. Yeh i know bout the 50% load.

ah- found it and turned it off, should this help?

edit: still no luck, ends the torture test almost immediatley with the rounding was 0.5, 0.4 or less expected...

This is very wierd as i have had no problems overclocking mine, just struggling to get anymore out of mine @ 3.22ghz would like to get it to 3.3ghz tho!!

Maybe it could be your ram? anyway of just setting the divider @ 2?

yeh ive had the multiplier on the ram at 2 if thats what you mean by divider? its wierd, im not in a hurry to o.c just one of the main reasons i brought the ds3 was to see what i could oc to. long as my pc works im happy lol
