DS3 not booting...

A mate just got some hardware sent to my house so I can build a rig for him

Just gone to set it up as a trial run and cant get the DS3 to boot. PSU is working fine. When I plug the ATX connector in the board with the 12v P4 connector the psu does'nt turn on. Nothing happends.

Specs are, Conroe E6300, DS3, 5400 GSkills and Tagan 480w SLi psu.

Something to do with the ram maybe? Incompatible. Not sure what bios the board has but I was thinking it should just boot up allowing me to flash the bios if needed.

Can anyone help? Need it done soon as...

Do any of the fans start? Any noises from the speakers?

Does it actually reach BIOS load?

Nope. PSu fans dont spin.

Unplug the psu from all devices and short out between the green wire and an adjacent black one on the atx connector. If the psu starts up then there is probably something wrong with the motherboard. If it doesnt start up then its your PSU.

Already tried it. Done it before I connected the PSU to anything. Always do.

Will have to have another whirl at it later. Probs something to do with the memory.

Memory doesn't work with it. I tried the same memory on a DS4 running the F2 BIOS.
