DS3 Restart hanging

When I restart my PC, the motherboard (DS3) seems to hang and the only way to solve this is to unplug the power cable at the back and keep it out for a bit.

It doesn't beep (saying it passed the memory test) and when I do manage to get it to load up, when I check the BIOS my overclocking settings have gone back to auto.

Here are my specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte P965-DS3 (F11 BIOS)
CPU: Intel C2D E4400
Memory: Team-Elite 800mHz stuff

I'm sure I saw something about DS3, C2D's and 800mHz memory, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance,
- Saul.

i got that some times on my ds4 try upping the v core a little. and make sure your ram is getting the correct voltage

It just seems to disregard my overclocking settings, I think it forsees them as unstable.

Will it be safe to up my Team-Elite DDR2 800mHz Memory voltages up? If yes then what to?

Ok, I'll try that. Although the operating voltages is +0.1V, is it safe?

It refused to boot at +0.3V and now it refuses to beep on cold boot, it resets and sets the CPU to stock again... :o

What are your overclock settings bud ???

When it was working it was 3.2gHz, and Orthos said it was stable.

CPU Frequency: 400x8

also got FSB and DRAM 1:1.

Thanks in advance,

try upping the v core a notch or two and give it +0.1 on the mch and fsb c if that helps

Thanks. I'll try that.

Nope, didn't work. It didn't even work on 2.75gHz. It starts up for a second, then reboots. I'm really sick of seeing the Blue / White and Red BIOS screen.

Mine does exactly the same. I have just ordered another board so I will let you know if that allows me to maintain my settings at startup.

I like you have an Orthos stable overclock but it often resets at startup.

Soooo sick of the blinkin BIOS screen. I have been through all my settings and nothing helps. It could be the CPU though. I'll keep you posted.
