I'm very seriously considering a Gigabyte DS4 but it looks like there are quite a few caps close to the socket.
How big a problem is this?

I have both Zalman 7000Cu & Thermalright XP-120/SI-120/XP-90 available which I would like to re-use (with appropriate adapter) if possible.
Anyone used any of these in combination or had problems with other HSFs on the DS4?

P.S. Thermalright's compatability section doesn't say that they've found a problem but I would always prefer feedback from someone that has actually used the combo :)

I would also like to know what air coolers people are using on this board. My DS4 arrives in the next couple of days and I was thinking of either; Scythe Infinity Heatpipe CPU Cooler, but this is one heavy heat sink, Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B Heatpipe, out of stock at OCuk at the moment and no lead time given or the Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler, 4 to 7 days and another heavy heat sink. Will they all fit the DS4? I must admit the Scythe Ninja seems to be the best in all the reviews I have read.

I can confirm that the following all fit fine onto a DS4:

AC Freezer Pro
Scythe Ninja
Tuniq Tower

ninja fits fine
my ONLY issue is that with anything but the standard Intel cooler the chipset seems to not get as much airflow as it would have

I'm using the Zalman CNPS7700-CU on my DS4 & 6600 combo without any problems at all.
Physical fitting was fine and it is doing a fine job keeping things cool too - oh and of course being Zalman it's pretty quiet too.
