DS4 - On Off On Off issue - any remedy?

I had Exactly the same on my DS3 Rev 3.3, I tryed absolutely everything to remedy it believe me, no joy.

The only fix I found was in the form of a P5B Deluxe.

It's on station-drivers.com. No idea if they carry ads for competitors, so I'm not hot-linking.

Amen to that.

Bit worried tho that if i flash this im going to end up with a german BIOS

Also, why cant i format my USB stick as a system disk to boot from?

It'll be in English dude.

I'm running f11b from that site on my DS3 and it's in English.

Problem is i havent got a floppy installed, and if i turn the PC off to connect it, then i may not be able to get it to come on again to flash the bios

I do it via Q Flash in the BIOS using a floppy.

Cob, youre a star mate. :D

I used QFlash and flashed it using a USB pen drive :)

Running F9C now. Loaded optimised defaults, the rebooted, set my overclock and stuff, pressed F10 and the system shut off.

BIG breath, it switched back on - DEEP breath - and my god it booted :D

Ah well, its only taken 9 BIOS revisions to fix it ( hopefully )

I hope that's it.

Tho remember that it's a beta and it *may* have other side-effects.

I put the counting of the chickens on hold for the time being mate as I'd say it was a bit too early to say it's fixed :) Hope it is fixed though :)
