Hi all,

I've just built up a new rig for a friend - based on a DS4 board and e6400 cpu.

I can't get it past 300FSB - So please can you show your BIOS settings.

I've also tried various RAM: Crucial Ballistix, Corsair and Micron.

Thanks

Can the DS4 board take a core 2 duo CPU stright from the box. Without needing a BIOS update?

I'm upgrading from AMD and don't have any other skt 775 chip other than the e6300?

problem is resolved guys.

It's amazing what a BIOS upgrade can do ;)

it's now running at 425x8 = 3.4Ghz and it's been running Prime for abt 45 mins

Will post screenie's later

p.s. - I'm running Crucial Ballistix RAM (DDR667) - and it appears to be running fine at 425 ;)
