Having a mare with a M&S, they basically screwed up my order so it had to go back and I have requested a refund through DSR. I paid originally via my HSBC Visa Debit card but they're saying that they are unable to refund my card, and have to send me a cheque via post. The problem is, i very rarely have time on a Saturday to go to the bank and pay a cheque in.

As far as I was concerned, DSR protected me from being in-convenienced by the process of returns. Are they allowed to refund me via cheque?

I presume it's not a local branch. My nearest one for example is 8 miles away in town and by the time I've parked up, it's an hours round trip.

wait what? you cant go put a cheque into a bank, not even at lunch time, it takes 2 minutes using the automated machines

Not everyone has local branches of their bank!

As for the refund method, I had a different card issued to the one I paid with and the payment card cancelled, but my OcUK refund came through just fine.
