There's part of me that wants to build a Lada running a Fiat Twink with an Eaton M45 and bike carbs...

Damn that lada is nice, doesnt half shift. What sort of power is it putting out you think?

Probably around 150-180bhp, depending on the state of tune.

It'll weigh about 800Kg.

Importantly, the Lada is basically a rebadged Fiat.

When it was launched, the rest of Europe was flailing around while it had a properly-located axle and twin-wishbone front end. Great handling little things.

Probably a real good sleeper as most just see lada and think its going to be soo slow. Why do i prefer the looks of the Lada in the vid compared to the BMW in the vid.

Seriously sweet for a car for something with not much of a reputation.

The only reason it looks fast is because the BM soundtrack is still present, and any hard acceleration clips are sped up!
