Dual 3870X2 with COD4 early results

I believe, from what I've read, its the PowerPlay software playing up.

There's is a fix of at XS that gets around it but requires flashing BOTH Video BIOS' on the X2 card.

Despite this, still tempted to get one, even right now - save on power and heat over having two 3870 XTs...

i just got an x2 the other day and it plays most stuff nice but i carnt wait for the drivers to let me do this also can add 2 new screens to my rig :D

I think it would be good to know what the performance is like with 2x 3870X2 in Crysis, as if it can pull that off at a playable rate at that res possibly on high or very high then it might be worth the money.

At that res..don't be silly! they have to aim at a common high res not the extreme.

You don't need to enable the dual video card option in COD4 to take advantage of multiple cards - in general it gives about 15% higher fps (over stock SLI/crossfire performance) when selected but some people find they feel mouse lag and/or jerkiness with it and in some cases its actually slower. The option also may have only been coded with 2 videos cards in mind and cause problems with 4.
