Hi,
I have a dual boot system with XP Pro and Vista 32. I installed Vista first as it was supplied with the PC and I installed XP on the second drive so I could use the XP boot to name the o/s.

It has been fine for the past 6 months but a few days ago I had the option to load from A: or go to win XP, I chose XP and was taken to my standard boot menu. When I choose XP the PC restarts, when I choose Vista I get into Vista fine. I can access the XP drive and have since made backups from the drive.

How can I fix the XP boot menu - if that is what needs fixing.

Thanks

Hi,
Just been looking for more info. If I boot from the XP CD as in this process http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/922809 accept the licence agreement and choose to REPAIR the installation will I lose the information/user accounts? I have a work account where I have various apps installed which I may not be able to reinstall without losing data. I want to fix the boot up issue not reinstall.
