Dual Boot - Playing games from the other OS

I've got Vista & XP dual booted.
All my games are installed on XP but i'm preferring Vista..!
Is it possible using vista to just browse to the folder & play the games even though they're installed on XP... I would try it but I dont want it to work if it's going to re-write the games control settings etc...

It works but the settings for controls is in a diff place than xp, the xp settings will be safe so dont worry. You can copy them and overwrite the ones created by vista from the xp settings location so you havent lost anything.

Done this with most of my games.
