dual boot query

well i have vista and windows 7 on a dual boot but i have windows 7 with everything i want on it fine now but would like to get rid of vista,is there anyway of getting rid of it without having to reformat and put windows 7 on again thanks

Download EasyBCD from here: http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and use it to remove the Vista entry from the boot menu. You can then proceed to reformat the vista drive if it's not on the first hard disk in your system, otherwise it will probably not boot.

LinktoInsanity that programme removed the boot menu but when i go to format the vista drive it wont let me,ive tried removing files but wont let me any ideas please

It appears that you are still using the boat loader in the Vista Partition to boot in Win 7.. Easy to sort out..

Boot from your Windows 7 DVD, and when prompted click on “Repair your Computer”. Select Install and then run “Start-up Repair”. This will recreate the boot manager in the windows 7 partition. You should then be able to format the windows Vista partition.

hi i tried that and i dont no what went wrong but ive lost my system now,so i went to do a fresh install and it sees the drive but says it needs to be ntfs to be in use but it wont format it,is there a programme i can stick on a usb stick and do it that way as i cant get my O/S to load on it,lost without my baby,thanks
