dual boot query

well i have vista and windows 7 on a dual boot but i have windows 7 with everything i want on it fine now but would like to get rid of vista,is there anyway of getting rid of it without having to reformat and put windows 7 on again thanks

It appears that you are still using the boat loader in the Vista Partition to boot in Win 7.. Easy to sort out..

Boot from your Windows 7 DVD, and when prompted click on “Repair your Computer”. Select Install and then run “Start-up Repair”. This will recreate the boot manager in the windows 7 partition. You should then be able to format the windows Vista partition.

hi i tried that and i dont no what went wrong but ive lost my system now,so i went to do a fresh install and it sees the drive but says it needs to be ntfs to be in use but it wont format it,is there a programme i can stick on a usb stick and do it that way as i cant get my O/S to load on it,lost without my baby,thanks
