If I install win 10 on a partioned drive that already has windows 7 and dual boot, will each install show as operating system treat the install as a c drive ?

Sorry for being a bit thick here but can find nothing on the net.

Perfect thank you. I could not find that info anywhere.

Maybe its because its so basic its assumed everyone knows.

I think I should have your username :D
Been a long while since I did it that way
2 x OS on one drive
But that's how it works with my multiple OS installs
Which are all on separate drives
No reason to think it won't be the same

Unless you're Scottish
You can't be a McNumpty lol
Just plain numpty for you

I'd rather it was on seperate drives.... but all info I have seen advises against it. I am still using 7.... I have software for work that needs it, but really need to get on 10 and avoid 11 for as long as possible.

I'll take plain numpty but I am in Cumbria so must be pretty close to a mcnumpty :D (Am from London originally so I still fail the mcnumpty test) :D

I actually prefer separate drives
Especially if using sata hard drives/ssds
You can disable those easily
Either in the bios
Or by just removing the cable
That way can install windows to each as an isolated drive
No worries about boot record having 2 drives
Or 2 operating systems then
Can't easily temporarily disable m2 drives sadly
