Hi a question please, if i have a Dual channel 8GB DDR3, at 800 MHZ, does that equal to 1600MHZ. I ordered 1600MHZ but Speccy says I have 800 MHZ.
Thanks

DDR= Double Data Rate

So likely you do have the right ram. I have never used Speccy but the Bios should tell you whether it is 1600 or not. What Ram do you have?

Yeah this always catches me out. In CPU-Z it says your ram is 800Mhz but it is actually twice that because it's double data rate. I wouldn't worry, if it says it's 1600Mhz, it will be.

Download CPU-Z and look at this part,

The above RAM is running at 2400Mhz (1200 x 2 DDR =2400)
