I would think so, yes, especially given how far the X2s are overclocking.

IIRC i saw the recent ones being able to reach 2.6 on air, is this correct

Mine does 2.3 on stock voltage, so I dont doubt those reports. The record is 3.4ghz on phase cooling IIRC (check xtremesystems for a thread on it).
