Dual display issues
Having just recently set up my HTPC PC based around the asus P5N7-VM mobo, I’ve been having issues running a dual display on my Samsung monitor and Panny PZ80. If I boot the PC with the TV off the display works fine on the monitor but as soon as I switch on the TV the monitor screen goes blank and the power led flickers on and off as if in standby mode. If I boot the TV with the monitor off I get the desktop appearing on my TV but can’t get any display on my monitor. The TV is running HDMI to HDMI.
On my old setup my monitor was my main display and the TV acted like an extended desktop which I could drag movies and pictures onto, that was running off a 7800 GTX with a HDMI to DVI cable running from the TV to gfx card and the monitor running off the other DVI port.
It’s starting to annoy me as I just assumed it would work as it always had and having to switch off and boot with either the TV or Monitor connected is a pain as I’d like the ability for both to be running at the same time.
Any ideas?
