Dual monitors - How to run a game without minimizing it when using second monitor? (not windowed)

Hey there, I've been playing CIV 5 and it allows me to use both monitors at once. While the game is full screened on my 27" I am able to freely use the 24" without anything being minimized and not having to run in windowed and thus have boarders and the start bar.

Also, I can only do this if I run windows basic instead of areo. Any ideas?

OK I found the answer, it's called boardless windowed mode but not all games support it. Awesome.

Civ5 is the first game I have found that supports multiple monitors!

I've tried this out on a couple games so far and it seems to work well, I dunno why it's hosted under oblivion mods because it's made for all games:

Also, games on steam can do it if you go into launch settings and put in -noborder -windowed. It worked perfectly with DOTA 2, allowed me to edge scroll and alt tab out to my other screen while dota 2 stayed on the foreground of my primary monitor.

If the mouse is being used ingame to control the game on screen 1,,,how can you use screen 2 at the same time
