I am thinking of buying a nice shiny new 24 inch widescreen Dell. WIll this work in tandem with my current 19 inch viewsonic? They will be running native and thus different resolutions. I know Windows can configure each monitor differently... but can Sup Comm?

thanks in advance

Yeah, u can select individual resolutions for each monitor, haven't really used the second monitor much though really. i have it constantly zoomed out as the map so that i dont need the mini map on the 1st screen...

Like the concept though :) handy for tracking units on the 2nd screen, can have it following an attack whilst 1st monitor is focused on your base etc :)

I set off a two pronged attack and watched my siege bots roll in (tracking on the left screen) while my missile launchers advanced on the right.
Sitting back and watching an attack pan out is quite fun :D

This was on a 19"wide and a 17", both at native res's :)

Have you got a picture of the two next to each other? Was thinking of using a similar setup :)

same as I've got, the 17'' has a little more hight and that can be annoying
looks like I'm gonna have to get a 21'' WS

heh, looks like i figured it out :o

both 17" @ 1280, sadly both zoomed out though :/ i'll go find another one... :)

The 19" WS is actually shorter than the 17" 4:3? That would look a bit pants, maybe I'll pay the extra for a 20" with the higher res.

Its something else on a 30" dell at 2560x1600 and a 20" widescreen dell at 1680x1050...

Makes the old x1900xt sweat though... Some be time for a pair of 8800gtx's, just waiting for R600 to kick off a price war.

by about 1-2cm

I've only got the demo, but I run a 19" WS and a 17" monitor setup on my X1800XT.......there was a little slowdown at one point when I had 140 units on the screen, but other wise it was fine. Secondary monitor zoomed all the way out, used for gathering groups of units, sending engineers to far flung places and keeping an eye on sneaky enemies and the main screen is where I do all (most of) the work.

btw, the cut down GUI is actually rather good, more so if you have a 2nd monitor, as you can use the 2nd monitor as your map, and your primary monitor is then free to 'not have stuff all around it'

I'll get some pics up when my game stops blue screening
