I've got a friend who wants to start playing flight sim style games on his dual monitor setup. He has 2x Dell E198WFP and would also like to play some of the strategy games he likes.

What sort of 'tweaking' or procedures do you have to go through in order to enable a game to run spanned across two monitors? (We've had some luck with ones that allow you to run in windowed mode, and then spread it across.)

What good flight sim or strategy based games are out that support dual screen gaming are out at the moment or on their way?

Further info:
Graphics card: 8600GT (Dual DVI)
CPU: C2D E2200 2.2GHz
RAM: 2GB PC5300

MS Flight Sim X allows you to undock the differnt windows and move them across to a second monitor.

However you need some serious hardware for this. you only need your main view, controls, Spot view and couple of others and your Frame rate is going down below that of a ZX-81 running crysis!

However if you got the hardware it should be great

the only stratergy gamnes which support you using screens for differnt things are world in conflict and supreme comander. Supreme comander makes a better use of them though.

The rest will just strech the screen over both screens which can be done in the graphics card propertys and is reletively simple i beleive.
