Dual screen problem

Hi all

I've just got myself a second monitor to give myself a nice dual screen set up.

Got it all up and running (after a bit of mucking about with the Nvidia display stuff) but got a bit of a problem. For some reason every now and then, when I click a mouse button or press the keyboard I get a flickering of the screen, not like the display flickering and going fuzzy, more like it cutting out briefly and going blackl much like if you were to wiggle the lead.

I'm not sure if it was exactly related to the mouse or keyboard being used, or whether it was when there was hard disk access.I noticed it while I was moving files about so there was a lot of clicking and ctrl+c ing etc.

Anyone got any ideas what might be causing it???

My system:

P4 2.8ghz
can't remember motherboard
1Gig Ram
BFG 7800GS OC

Any help much appreciated!!!

Still having this problem though not quite so much as I was, might just be that the lead is a little wobbly or or not connected very much.

Anyone else had a problem with this???

Both monitors are using vga, one using the DVI adapter and one using the VGA out of the card.

Might well try a different cable... if I can find one at some.

You have dual monitors, can you swap the cables around? That way if the problem moves screen you know that it isn't the monitor.

Glad your brain is working cos mine certainly isn't, I truely didn't think of that, not enough sleep and too much flu rememdy methinks!!!

I'll give it a go.
