Paid £36 for mine from auction-site seller in Hong Kong, but it came in about 4 days which was very nice. Worth pointing out when comparing to sixaxis that there's old and new sixaxis, the new one which ships with the new 40GB PS3 being exactly the same as the DS3 (same plastics, dead zones etc) bar the rumble.

Still worth the extra for rumble IMO though.

Is there a reason its taking so long to be released over here? I would have thought they'd make them available almost simultaneously world wide.

I need another pad and will not be buying a six axis under any circumstances. Tbh SONY should give us all a free one as a apology for them being complete tards in the 1st place.

Is ebay trustworthy for a DS3 buy?? Do I have to watch out for counterfit pads?? There are loads of DS3's on ebay but I always feel a bit hesitant to buy something which has a generic picture rather than a photo, even if the seller has got 10k feedback.

I would say it's pretty trustworthy. Better off getting it from a site though. Use paypal if you are really worried.

It's cheap enough to get through an importer, just use one of those.

I bought 2 of em from ebay without a problem. I think you have to be very cautious when buying things like memory etc as counterfeits are rife, but I haven't heard anything about dodgy DS3's tbh.
