So I'm considering dropping my razer blackwidow ultimate for a ducky shine 5. But before I buy I was wondering if anyone has experience/has found anything on the RGB capabilities colour wise. I know that they have/only just landed in the UK. But any help is appreciated. If it beats out the Corsair K70 it's an instant buy. If it doesn't... it'll be a lot harder to justify the purchase when I didn't get the k70 due to the RGB limitations.

Thanks!

Seeing as how newer controllers can handle the full 16 million colors without problem (Strafe RGB, for example), I would expect the DS5 would be fine too.

Ah I hadn't looked into the controllers etc for quite some time. :) Thats a purchase then hah. Cheers for the info I was kinda annoyed it wasnt readily available on the web.

Out of interest what difference would in make in real world use if there was , just pulling anynuber out my head 3 million less colours.? I can't imagine you could see any difference, human eyes are limited

The main issue with the k70 was the fact that it was like 2000 odd colours or something. You could easily see how unsmooth the transitions were etc. But at a 3 million difference it wouldn't really matter You'd be so close to true colour at that point. You can barely tell the difference between two shades of green that are really close together anyway etc.
