Poll: Ducting - Which type of back draught shutter is best?

Need a couple of back draught shutters to go on some 100mm ducting but reviews for both types are mixed.

Would you go for:

Type 1 which reviews say have weak springs and flap about:

or

Type 2 which reviews say tend to get stuck open:

Both will go on a y connector for 2 powerful extractors (only 1 used at a time) so needs to stop blow back and wind. Weird how screwfix do loads of cheap ducting parts but not these, online they seem to be about the same price for either type.

Very exciting question I know, perhaps it should be a poll

Type 2. Have on in a bathroom extract through a roof tile and also in the cooker hood. Both have been in for around 4 years without issue but installed in a vertical piece of pipe, I can see how they would get stuck in a horizontal pipe (you'd see it if you held it in your hand, the close action is weak when horizontal)

With type 2 you could always increase the weight on one edge of the flap with a blob or two of silicon for example, to assist closing. Might need a bit of experimenting so as not to add too much though.

Ah maybe thats why people are moaning as they are installing them wrong.

I'll order one and see how it does, just thought with this being a pretty common item that people on here would have a preference.

I have the first type in a horizontal duct it rattles annoyingly.
