Hi all,

Currently on a 12month iPhone 4 contract with Tesco Mobile which ended on the 3rd of October.

What would people do next?

I pay £35 per month for 750mins unlimited texts and "unlimited" Internet (1gb).

I am due an upgrade and I was wondering what is about that is a worthwhile upgrade?

I really like my current phone but the mrs is after it. So I thought incould upgrade and give her this one. She offered me £200 so I would give it to her, but I won't charge her. Unless she irritates me too much between now and making a decision lol

So recommendations with reasons would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

G

If your happy with the iPhone stick with that and look at what deals are available on the iPhone 4S if Tesco are going to do it.

If you don't want to pay the likely premium contract prices for the 4S you could end the contract get it unlocked (presuming your wife wants to put her sim in it) and give the phone to your wife and get a new contract and another iPhone 4 for yourself.

If your looking to try out Android look at the HTC Sensation / Samsung Galaxy S2, or wait a month ish and check out the Google Nexus Prime.

If you're really happy with the iPhone, upgrade to the iPhone 4S.

If you might be interested in Android, look at the Samsung Galaxy S II.

I think I am going to stick with an iPhone, so I'd like to get the iPhone 4S. I spoke to them about an upgrade and they said it will cost me the exact same price as if I was a new customer.

With that in mind there is no point sticking with Tesco's if elsewhere are doing decent deals. Bit annoyed about that as I always thought that was one of the perks of having a contract but hey ho.

Out of interest Are any other companies offering discounted iPhone's as an upgrade?

Also what is the best 12month deal for an iphone 4S at the moment?

Thanks,

G

12 month deals , if you can find a decent one, will have a TCO of over 40% more than 18 month ones. You sure you want to pay the premium for 6 months difference? There's no discount on it (s'up apple price rigging) but you can get cashback through quidco et al.

Edit: there's an onkyo app iirc.
