Duel Screen help - resolution problems

Is there any way i can force a monitor into a resolution that windows 7 can't see for it?

I've got two w2234s LG 22" monitors, my main one will set at 1680x1050 but the other wont due to the vga cable being used.

I brought two VGA cables from overclockers ages ago and had this problem , but dropped down to one monitor so never sorted it out.


Any ideas?

Your monitors are fighting to the death ?

Okay, more seriously on the dual monitors issue;
- Latest drivers?
- If you cannot do it through graphics driver utility (e.g. CCC), then try Powerstrip (Guru3D) to force it.

Cheers will check out powerstrip.

Drivers don't seem to be the problem as each monitor will work at 1680x1050 with one cable, but neither will work with the other cable (tried 2 form ocuk)
