Hi everyone,

Thinking of building a Duel system. One for just browsing the net and light stuff based on a M-ITX system using the CPU Graphics. Then A gaming system with E-ATX board with dedicated graphics card etc. But I want to put them in one case what would people recommend. Both systems would have there own power supplies etc.

What benefit would this dual system give you?

There are some tiny low power systems available if you need a second PC.

It would mean i would not have to run my main gaming system for things like just web browsing like i am doing right now I could just save my gaming system for when i just want a gaming session. I could then use the M-ITX system to do the low power non intensive everyday tasks. But i would like to have the whole setup in one case rather then 2 separate systems.

Save in what way?

The only thing you could possibly save is a small amount of electricity which would take forever to cover the cost of all the extra components.

There's a reason that cases that'll take dual systems are so rare (and generally expensive).

Mainly to save on space so as to not have 2 cases. So both systems in the one case.

If you're that worried about browsing ruining your gaming rig then just use a virtual machine. You can create snapshot once it's set up and roll back any time your dwarf porn habit gets you a virus.

Two physical PCs is quite redundant these days

No reason at all to have two systems, web browsing isn't taxing, just close the web browser and resources are freed, it's not like you're going to browse the web and play a game at once, and a dual monitor setup would do that, a web browser will not reduce FPS.

both the cases below are dual system capable.

The Mini-XL can take a MATX board and an ITX and can hold a ATX and SFX Psu, although its easier to cable if you run the MATX board from the SFX supply

The Enthoo takes EATX and ITX, but only one PSU so you would need the matching Phanteks Revolt PSU that can power 2 PCs plus i think it needs an ITX kit,

I have the Revolt X installed in my mini XL
