How bloomin unlucky!!
I ordered 2x 1TB WD Green drives a couple of weeks back to go with the 6 I already have.
I popped them in my machine and the system kept freezing in the BIOS looking for one of the new drives. After doing the normal and pulling all the other drives and being certain which drive was playing up I popped it into a couple of other machines and a USB caddy and they were all struggling to recognise it. Popped all the other disks back into the machine and RMA'd the faulty one to OC, they tested it and replaced it.
New drive had arrived last night - popped it on..... system starts freezing.
Odd. Pulled the new drive... same.... noticed in the BIOS that it's struggling to detect the OTHER new drive. GAH!!! Ran WD Data LifeGuard Tools and straight away get a big fat red FAIL! for the SMART status.
Has anyone else ordered a WD10EADS in the last couple of weeks got any problems?
