Duke gets a release date

May 3 is the North American release date. May 6 is worldwide.

Apparently it was near complete around mid 2009, after 2k refused 3dr money to complete it some staff worked at it in their own time (triptych studios). When gearbox got the game it was around 95% complete so doesn't seem as if its been rushed out.

Nope. The game was around 95% complete or thereabouts when gearbox got it, theyre just doing some of the ports, polishing it and bug testing mainly.

Apparently the word on the gearbox forum is this demo is from 2010 and has numerous performance issues (even more so on consoles it seems). Seems gearbox could have released this ages ago but decided to milk some borderlands sales with this first access club bs. Wonder how long before the demo shows up on torrents.
