[Dumb] Using a gas cooker

I prefer gas hobs, with electric ovens. My grandparents recently bought a gas oven. It is tiny since the flames go up the back so the trays can't go all the way to the back. Food keeps getting burnt.

The one we have the flames are along the bottom, under a tray to catch stuff falling down, although there are gaps. I know in the small oven theres like a gas pipe (so to speak) running central that has the flames coming out. Big oven, not sure.

Yeah, or even just turn it down. Keeping something at a simmer is a nightmare; you have to anticipate its boiling by about a minute and turn the hob down in advance.
I've had stuff boiling over on 2 or 3 setting.

Well thats a load of rubbish!

Gas pressure does not drop at peak periods. The pressure is regulated at the meter by the governor. This should be checked by a 'gas registered' person if you have any doubts about a pressure problem (low or high). Or you can phone transco, its free and so is the visit.

Sorry,

Was just based on what our Corgi fitter and Bosch Rep told us, but fair play if you know better.

Good luck with the cooker anyway.
