Hi

Are dumbells worth it? Was looking at this pair

but dont know if that is a good price or what not

Well that's only 10kg max per dumbell, which is pretty much useless.

I got a set of Marcy Dumbells from a local gym store, and you can buy all the weights individually. Think I paid around £50 for two dumbell bars and a total of around 50kg total weight.

Know any decent deals online? As I dont have any gym stores that I know of around me that are cheap.

Check out the local papers, LOADS of people sell weights when they realise they won't use them.

Gumtree often has many sets listed, almost bought a full olympic set for £140 untill i realised i should just stick to the gym.

Worth it for what? What is it you're planning to do with them?

DB's are very useful tools but not much good on their own...

I'm interested as well, what do you have to 'compliment' the DB's? I.e what other equipment do you have.

A cheap bench might be handy.. Other than that just yourself
