Hi all,

Does anyone know of a Linux based alternative to DUmeter?

I realise i could probably run it using Wine, but was looking for something native to the OS. I searched the forums but couldnt find anything relevant.

Cheers,

Hmmm, looking for something a little more elegant than that to be fair. More along the lines of a GUI driven app that will give me weekly, monthly and daily totals for download statistics.

Thanks for the suggestions tho, certainly worth a punt if nothing else crops up.

Cheers,

Only one I ever used in Linux was "bmon", runs in the terminal though. Not sure what stats it keeps. What distro you using?

Im going to be running Ubuntu, and im fairly wet behind the ears with Linux. I have installed and run it before, but never for an extended period.

Cacti actually looks fairly good.

If you have all the repositories enabled, you can do a search in Synaptic for "bandwidth monitor" or such, sure there'll be plenty of hits.
