Duncan Bannatyne has had a heart attack...

Read this earlier. Really hope it isn't too serious. I actually quite like the guy.
The BBC site though read more like an obituary. This line did make me smile though:

"Mr Bannatyne enlisted in the Royal Navy at the age of 15, before receiving a dishonourable discharge for threatening to throw an officer off a jetty."

I can really imagine him saying that in his thick Scottish accent :)

No you tried to dispute the fact his smoking had any statistical significance in his present condition.

seems like a top bloke and i wish him well.

i watched dragons den last night and the last pitch was from a father and son who had invented (essentially) a wheel barrow expansion ..... thing.

the dad absoloutely ballsed it up with his useless business brain but duncan gave them another chance and when asked by the pair if they thought he (duncan) could get a turn over of £500k by year 3 he replied (with a friendly smile) ''i'll give it a go''.

if i ever found myself on dragons den, he would be the one i'd want to work with.
