It's been a while since I read the books, but looks like it's departing from the dross that came after the first one and is looking to satisfyingly wrap up a trilogy, which I'm all for.

Tickets booked already. Bit surprised it's going head to head with Doomsday on the same week.

Epic
a lot of deviation but we've already gone down that route so..,..

[Vandle]

Read the first book and watched the Sting film when I was a kid. Wasn't overly keen. Really enjoyed parts 1 & 2 of this trilogy though. Saw the extended trailer of 3 before Odessey at imax and it looks epic. Will be watching this n the 70mm version.

I forgot about this. I enjoyed the first two so will definitely check it out when it's released.

Thing with Dune is that the books are basically pretty awful writing, but with some great world building. Frankly I think without the iconic worms it would never be as culturally significant as it is.

I’d be all for people making lots more Dune content that just lives in the world without following the dross Herbert wrote.
