Where the hell does it all come from? I'm struggling to stay on top of it despite investing in an AirFree air filter thing. It does seem to help with hay fever but doesn't keep the dust levels down as much as I expected in the bedroom.

I refuse to believe that I'm releasing enough dead skin into the air to cause so much dust in the entire house!

Does anything practical actually work to remove it all or keep it down? I'm not setting up massive intake fans to create positive pressure or anything. :p

Anyone used a portable air conditioner appliance with a HEPA filter successfully?

Vacuum cleaner. Polish. Dusters.
Yeah, I do plenty of that but it's still never-ending :)

Maybe it's the area as a neighbour mentioned he has the same problem a while back. I don't like leaving windows shut though!

Clothes and furniture/carpets release a lot of fibre fragments into your bellybutton the atmosphere; also a lot of it is dead micro organisms and their droppings. I'm not sure how much is your own skin cells although there will be some in there. But there's a heck of a lot of tiny wee beasties in your home living and dying and becoming dust particles.

More than 50% of house dust is dead skin cells so if your house is particularly dusty, you only have yourself to blame!

Cleaners can come from many different places, Poland is just one you bigot

Fact of the day. Polish is the only word in the English language that changes its meaning by capitalising the first letter.
Bet you're excited by this post.

Not living near a building site or anything are you?

it comes from your clothes mostly imo

I almost always wear navy blue or some similar colour, my place gets coated with navy blue dust

Think you're getting confused with belly button fluff!
no fine particles of blue colour coat my bannister rail etc.

I don't use a dryer often though so if you do maybe you get less from clothes.

my pc filters are normal grey dust coloured though
