Duxback - pretty impressive!

I use collinite on my side windows, never got rain x to apply properly on the fronts.

I had Gtechniq G1 applied all round at the start of March had it applied as instructed and it wore off a couple of months ago, granted I probably drove about 10k miles in that time.

Surely they are the same thing?

No, electric (hybrid) turbochargers are currently in development and could prove useful in hybrid vehicles, and as a method of improving response. I'm currently writing my dissertation on developing them for car use, but it's in early stages.

Anyway back on topic!

Go on then, explain them to me? The way I see it, the whole point of a turbocharger is to utilise waste exhaust energy to drive the turbine. If it is powered otherwise then it is a supercharger.

I guess it would probably be a case of recovering energy through braking etc... using this energy to prime a turbo with a motor strapped to it to get it to high RPM quicker?
Bonus option:

I use the halfords own brand water repellent and it does a fairly good job, re-apply every month or two and job done.

I think the point is what we call a turbocharger is just a kind of supercharger using exhaust gases to drive a turbine rather than a supercharger directly driven from say the crankshaft, but the ones Scythe is talking about are a turbo but with an electric motor to spin the turbo up so there's no lag waiting for boost to build?

Bought some of that spray for cleaning spectacles. Did the inside of the windows and also fitted some new Aerotwins.

Vision through the windscreen is superb!!!
