Greetings one and all!

We have here a problem, our computer was playing DVD's fine, however earlier today a region 1 (USA) DVD was inserted into one of the drives, and played fine however since has stoped playing Region 2 DVD's, we have not altered any settings, flashed anything etc, simply played the DVD, and it has changed region...

The DVD Drive is a - NEC - AD-5170A

Windows Media Player gives the following message: "Your system is set to DVD region 1. To play this DVD, set your system to region 2 or region 4."

If we play a DVD in the second DVD drive it runs perfectly however!

We have done a system restore, and while that solved a multitude of problems, namely our inability to conenct to the internet, it did not fix the DVD problem!

We are running on a quad core PC with Windows Vista.

Thanks for any help, Jcb33 and Co! :D

You can change your region properties for your dvd a few times follow these instructions. Right click on my computer then goto device manager, then look for your dvd drive, right click on the dvd you want to change, then click on properties then dvd region and change it in there. Done :)
