Hi, I am going to rip all my DVD's i own to store them on my media center pc, I want to rip them so there is no noticable differance in quality, First question is what software is best for this in Vista and the second is could i upsample them to high definition?

Thanks

This is done during playback, ie Theatretek + FFDSHOW scales up the video. As for ripping I would rip the film only, without any extras and non english audio tracks (except for foreign films) looking at 4-7GB per film. Just buy a few high capacity hard drives. I've not looked into how MCE uses your ripped DVD's, either ISO or vob not sure.

I'm using clonedvd. can rip all movie or just the main movie. It keeps all the scenes etc. can copy in xvid, divx, mpeg etc and choose what quality. I'm using x-vid full quality. About 5.5GB for just the main movie.

However I can't get them to rip that fast, 6hrs ish. For some reason it's not using all available cpu and ram. Good little program other than that though.
