Hi Guys

I have a DVD that my school has made that I need to load into a computer at school for editing.

What would be the best program (free) to copy the disk onto the computer? And are there any other better free editing tools out there?

I have tried to trace the original file, but it was made by a previous technician in which deleted the original file.

Thanks in Advance.

Ok, well, I've used 'IFO' mode as bledd. suggested, what can I use to edit the .VOB files that have been produced?

how do you want to edit it..?

virtualdub lets you open them, and a bunch of filters... let us know what you want to do with it and we can steer you in the right direction :)

also, consider changing the options so it outputs it as one large vob file (change the IFO splitting options) -ntfs drives only..

I want to simply cut out parts of the 'film' and join them together, or export them separately so they can be used on media share services such as YouTube.
